We are one of the biggest clubs in the country and with well over 400 members in our Junior Surf programme, we appreciate it can get pretty busy on a Sunday mornings.

The Tauranga City Council allow us to use the grass reserve for our overflow parking. We are lucky to have this carpark and we do not want to lose the privilege of having this space. We’d like to remind our members of a few rules around parking in this area:

• Please DO NOT park under the trees - this is a hazard and if the council see this happening they will close the area off.
• This area will be closed at the end of patrol on a Sunday (around 4pm) so make sure you are out of there by then.
• Please be respectful of others when parking and do not block anyone in.

See photo above for a suggested plan for parking. The black line indicates the route to drive in and out of the area and the blue lines are where to park - two lines of parking in the middle and then a line of parking at the beach side and the roadside of the grass. Do not park in the red area as there is no way in and out of here so you may get boxed in.

As a club we don’t have the manpower for a parking attendant but if any parent or caregiver, or perhaps an older sibling, would like to put their hand up to volunteer for this role, it would be hugely appreciated by all. Please email info@papamoalifeguards.co.nz if you’d like to help. Thank you.
