WHAT YOUR CHILD NEEDS TO WEAR
All Junior Surf participants must wear:
- Junior Surf rash shirt or rash vest (for those who have their 200m safety badge) - this needs to be purchased through the Club's Uniform Shop.
- Club-provided age-group coloured cap/beanie - provided by the Club, no need to purchase.
- Appropriate swimwear - brought from home.
Junior Surf rash shirt or rash vest
This is your child's main Junior Surf uniform and needs to be ordered through our Uniform Shop before the start of the season.
If your child has their 200m safety badge, they can wear a rash vest instead of a rash shirt.
Age-group coloured beanie/cap
Your child's age-group beanie is provided by the club — you do not need to buy one.
- Under 6 — Pink
- Under 7 — Blue
- Under 8 — Yellow
- Under 9 — Green
- Under 10+ without 200m Safety Badge — Red
- Under 10+ with 200m Safety Badge — Purple
Carnivals & Competitions
A blue and yellow club beanie is required for Junior Surf carnivals and competitions. This is different from the age-group beanie provided for Sunday Junior Surf sessions and needs to be purchased for $10 through our Uniform Shop.
Rash Top/Vest Collection
Junior Surf rash tops and vests need to be collected before the start of the season on one of these uniform collection days:
WHEN: Tuesday 20 October & Thursday 29 October between 4pm - 6pm
WHERE: At the Club, downstairs in the Junior Surf area
Please order your child's rash shirt or vest through the Uniform Shop before collection day so we can have your order ready.
Not sure about sizing? Order the closest size to your child's age and it can be swapped on collection day if it doesn't fit. Rash tops are designed to fit snugly, so we recommend sizing down rather than up.

What To Bring Every Sunday
- Rash shirt or vest
- Togs
- Towel
- Water bottle
- Sunscreen
- Warm clothes for afterwards
- Wetsuit (recommended early in the season)
