Pap Juniors Shine in Gisborne

Our team headed over to Gisborne for the Eastern Region Junior Championships over the weekend, and they absolutely smashed it.

Despite being a small team, our 18 athletes showed massive heart, awesome team spirit, and represented Pāpāmoa incredibly well.

With solid results across every age group, they nearly topped the board in each division… and even with a small squad, Pāpāmoa still placed 2nd overall! The crew fought hard, had loads of fun, and soaked up the perfect conditions — from popping and rolling through the waves to long run-wades and dolphin dives. And of course… plenty of laughs (and a few jumps off the bridge!) during downtime. It’s been five years since we last made this trip, and it was so worth it.

Huge effort, huge pride. Well done team — you did Pap proud!
