Sunday Freeplay

Sunday Freeplay is a great way to stay active, social, and confident in the water outside of formal training. We look forward to seeing members make the most of this opportunity each week.

Sunday Freeplay (formerly known as Sunday Funday) is a weekly, supervised free‑play session designed to give club members the opportunity to practise and refine their surf lifesaving sport skills in a relaxed environment. Sunday Freeplay provides a safe and structured way to stay active in the water during the cooler months, build confidence, and make use of club equipment outside of formal training sessions.

Purpose of Sunday Freeplay

Sunday Freeplay is intended for skill development through unstructured practice. It allows experienced members to:

  • Maintain and improve water skills

  • Build confidence in changing conditions
  • Stay connected with the club over the off‑patrol season

These sessions are not instructional and are not designed for learning new skills from scratch.
