Ocean Athletes Programme - Sign Up Today

Have you signed up your 10 – 14 year old to the Papamoa Surf Life Saving Club’s Ocean Athletes Programme yet?

Block One of the programme takes place during the two weeks of the school holidays (starting Monday 25th September). BUT don’t worry if you are away in the holidays, or your kids need a well deserve rest, you can still sign up to the programme and start in Term 4.

Ocean Athletes is a fun and supportive sport where kids learn lifelong skills including how to read the ocean, using rips and currents, and tube and board rescues. This helps them to prepare for lifeguarding and senior surf sports when they turn 14.

Ocean Athletes also offers participants an opportunity to compete in Junior Surf Sport events throughout the summer, joining other junior athletes from around the country to share their passion for surf sports. The confidence and teamwork gained in these exciting competitions provides a valuable life experience for our Ocean Athlete squad members.
