Australian National Pool Rescue Championships

8 Aug

What an incredible weekend for our Pāpāmoa clubbies at the Australian National Pool Rescue Championships on the Gold Coast! The team brought home eleven medals and broke three masters records!

Congratulations to everyone who competed and recorded personal bests (PBs) across multiple events. Our team included Amelie Pearson, Trelise Chote, Bella and Georgia Davoren, Sean Leach, Oliver Pepers, Lockie and Zac Cairns, as well as masters athletes Naomi Davoren and Richard Williams.

Special shoutout to our masters! Richard Williams not only secured several medals but also broke three masters records, including his own 50m Swim with Fins in the open division. Naomi Davoren also performed exceptionally well, earning multiple medals.

With the Eastern Region Pool Rescue Champs just a few weeks away, we're excited for another successful pool rescue season for the club in 2024!
