What an incredible weekend at Ōhope Beach!
Pāpāmoa finished second to a powerhouse Omanu team - huge congratulations to them on a well-deserved win!
Every Pāpāmoa athlete should be incredibly proud of their performances. We had strong results across all age groups, showing the depth and determination of our team. A massive thank you to Whakatāne for hosting such a well-run event, keeping our officials well-fed. The ocean was just right - challenging but not overwhelming, allowing our young athletes to shine.
Pāpāmoa highlights included:
- Epic wave-catching in the surf
- Thrilling run-swim-run races in the U11 & U12 events
- Action-packed rescue events in the U13 & 14 age groups
A huge thanks to everyone who made this event happen - you know who you are! Now, all eyes are on the big finale at Mount Main Beach (Feb 20-23) – Oceans ‘25! Let’s go, Pāpāmoa!
